What is the APX MVMT Method?
The best seasons aren't just about the numbers. They're about the rounds that felt effortless, the sets where everything clicked, the days where you were just in it. The moments where the work you put in actually showed — and you had a blast doing it.
That's what this is about.
I'm Coach Wes. I've spent over a decade coaching athletes across aquatics, fitness, and sport. The athletes I work with aren't necessarily looking to go pro. Although who doesn't want to be a pro athlete... My athletes are people who love what they do — golf, tennis, pickleball, swimming, skiing, etc — and want to keep doing it to the best of their abilities, for as long as possible, without grinding the joy out of it.
The gap between training and playing
Here's something many fitness programs get wrong: training that doesn't connect to your sport. You can be consistent in the gym and still feel stiff on the first tee. You can put in the work and still feel sluggish in your first week back on the court after the winter.
That disconnect between how you train and how you actually feel when you play is exactly what the APX MVMT Method was built to close.
When you feel good and enjoy the process, you show up better. And when you show up better, the game gets a lot more fun.
The method is rooted in something I learned through the Gambetta Athletic Improvement Network (GAIN): that consistent, daily touches on athletic development — not isolated, occasional training days — are what actually move the needle. I saw it work with my swimmers first. Meet after meet, everyone was improving. Not just one or two standout athletes. Everyone.
I knew the same idea could work across sports and age groups. So I built APX MVMT on that foundation — and kept building from there.
What the APX MVMT Method actually looks like
No complicated programming. No hour-long warm-ups. No overthinking.
The APX MVMT Method is effective movement preparation and athletic development that fits into your real life. You're busy. Your sport is one of the best parts of your week. The goal is to make sure your body is ready to show up for it — so you can play better, stay healthy, and enjoy every bit of it.
It's sport-neutral by design. Whether you're on the course, court, pool deck, rink, or field — the approach scales. Athletic movement is better movement.
Athletic improvement isn't a chore to be endured. It's a journey to be enjoyed.
If that sounds like what you've been looking for — welcome to the team.
